4. Watch some TV.

Now, I don’t suggest watching TV often; however, I do suggest students watch 45 minutes of TV a week to improve their listening skills. The act itself is passive, which does not help as well to improve your English. Therefore, I suggest students choose a character in their show and repeat what that person says while watching. You might realize how few of the exact words you actually pick up in a show or movie. The activity forces you to listen closely and speak precisely—two actions that will help improve your English a lot. If that seems to difficult, start by writing a short summary of the show or discuss it with a friend. You can also put on subtitles to start, which can help you build your vocabulary. There are many places to find English programming, such as – Ba BoomNetflix. I also recommend watching sports in English, it is a great way to enjoy an activity you love while learning all the terms and expressions. There really is a huge amount of English content. If you can’t find anything, ask a friend or colleague (or even us) for a recommendation. Now go spend some of that TV time productively.
